When Jack Woods discovers that his estranged wife, Jill, has disappeared, he discovers that the lumber company he worked for had genetically modified and irradiated the trees they planted and now the trees are attacking the people.

Well, this eco-conscious horror-comedy has an interesting concept, quite ambitious actually.  Perhaps a little too ambitious.  The lack of budget was glaring on multiple levels (sound being the most distracting of them), as I have done previously, I will continue to focus on the positive.  They did what they could with creative camera tricks, some inventive practical effects (a few truly awful CGI blood spurts and bugs), a little hand puppet which I had to back up and re-watch because it made me giggle uncontrollably, and an absolutely fantastic  paper-mache stinkbug that sounded like a tie-fighter.

This was another Amazon Prime find and I’m rather glad I found it.  There are plenty of other movies out there that are better, but, again, fans of micro budget horror might be entertained.
