Charlie Reese, a sleazy private detective, is hired to find a missing girl and stumbles into an unofficial ongoing investigation by a local police detective.
This is a by the numbers, safe, slasher with a heavy noir slant featuring all the usual tropes and stereotypes. Could have benefited from a stronger leading man. There were a couple good kill scenes. The music and cinematography in the opening scene is lovely, even memorable.
It is the sort of movie you put on in the background so you can stop to catch the few good scenes.
