On Christmas Eve, cadavers rise and start eating people at the local university due to a science professor’s experiment. It’s up to our hero, the mop and plunger wielding Janitor who will stop at nothing, to save the world. Using whatever devices they can find, the Janitor and his cohorts; the Bartender, the Drunk, the Cop, his Perp and a Security Guard battle to stop the cadaver menace before they escape the university.
This is a brilliant holiday addition to the zombie genre. A largely character driven film with amusing and absurd action sequences, this low budget indie flick succeeds in being exactly what it intends. The setting is simple and straight forward. The props, though silly, are creative and well utilized. There are plenty of over the top CG effects mixed in with make up effects. Gallons of fake blood set to discordant Christmas music, a seemingly bottomless hip flask and a little twist at the end is sure to amuse.
