Terry and Andy are the leaders of a group of inept criminals who plan a bank robbery to save their grandfather’s East London retirement home from being demolished. After the heist, they discover London has been overrun with zombies.
This is absolutely brilliant! Maybe it’s my affection for seeing a section of society that has been determined to be past their useful prime as kick-ass zombie-slayers. Maybe the retirement home cast was just that good.
Full of characters that evolve throughout the film and generate empathy in the viewer, witty dialogue that usually hits the mark (even the cheesy monologues), a fun musical score, an engaging, if somewhat predictable, story, and great practical effects with some less than great CGI effects mixed in.
I gave this 3 1/2 fru fru drinks for some crazy good fun and unlikely heroes! A must see for zombie/horror comedy fans!
