Colton West is back to save the world from the Lavalantulas… again. Well, Florida at least. West’s step-daughter, a geology student, is on vacation in Ft. Lauderdale when the lavalantula erupt in Florida. He dashes off the set of “Clown Cops” to rescue her.
In which they face the “Gargantua-lantula” – there’s an entire sequence debating the name.
The amount of old pop culture references in this is dizzying. Michael Winslow’s near bored performance is the perfect balance to Steve Guttenburg’s over the top tough guy routine. Neither is really appropriate, yet there’s a sick charm to it.
