On what begins as a drudgingly ordinary day, a somewhat oblivious group of friends find that zombies have invaded their community.  They try to find a safe place to stay as they battle the zombie horde and each other.

Fun, fun, fun!   That’s what I say to this 30 minute indie short from Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  As much as it is a zombie flick, it’s really a character driven story about how friends cope with life and death and violence.   It’s well shot, well directed, the story flows logically, the cast keeps things plausible and interacts naturally, which is really important in this kind of film.

If you’re a fan of low budget horror, this micro/no budget indie horror short is absolutely worth the watch.  I picked this DVD up at a tiny geek convention several years ago before I’d ever heard of John Pata (who the hell is that, right?).  I watched this after I’d seen his next film, Dead Weight (2012).  It was fun to see familiar locations and people (Hi, Lee!  Oooh, look!  There’s Dr. Kickbutt!).
