A group of college kids get more than expected when their camping trip starts off with a hit and run accident in this brilliant send up to 80’s slasher flicks.
This 12 minute short is a really good example of independent film making from Slasher Studios, Steve Goltz and Kevin Sommerfield. The story is complete and follows logically. The cast and characters have appropriate chemistry and charisma. They are able to generate empathy in the viewer. The dialogue flows really well. The back story comes out naturally in conversation and doesn’t feel forced into the film. The soundtrack is suspenseful and the sound effects aren’t over the top. The only complaint I have is that I wanted to see more.
I was lucky enough to see and purchase a DVD of this short at the 2012 Madison Horror Film Fest and strongly encourage you to check it out for yourself. You’ll never look at a teddy bear the same way again.
I gave this 4 beers. I can’t wait to see what else these guys make!
