Archeologist, Angus Flint, discovers the skull of a giant serpent, possibly the D’Ampton Worm of local folk legend, while excavating the ruins of a convent, now a Bed & Breakfast run by the Trent sisters. The eccentric and mysterious Lady Sylvia Marsh returns to her manor, Temple House, after an extended absence. Soon, people start acting strangely and disappearing. Nathan has a crush on his friend, Jessica. When he finally works up the courage and decides to tell her, however, due to a series of unfortunate events, Nathan dies before he can.
