A small group of people wake up in separate rooms without their memories. They need to figure out who they are as they try to find a way out and survive the shadow creature.
This movie started out so promising and suspenseful. The characters began as a blank slate, developing as their basic natures come out with each decision they’re forced to make. Then, about half way through, they give a face to the Shadow Creature and show the world through it’s perspective and that rarely works out well, certainly not in this case.
Aside from that, it’s a relatively enjoyable horror mystery that holds the interest, featuring a lot of eye candy running around in their underwear. Notably, Tony Todd as Steve the criminal, who might make better choices now that he can’t remember his past; James Marstars as Jack, the lawyer who is willingly following Jolene Blalock, the soft hearted doctor. The CG effects are not good and fortunately infrequent in the film.
I gave this 2 1/2 rum & cokes.
