A young man looking for his missing brother tracks him to a sexy dancer and a mysterious mansion with strange inhabitants.

Yeah, there’s not much of a plot here, the title says it all (unless, of course, you’re not familiar with “The Island of Dr. Moreau” and if that is the case, stop right here and go read the book) but instead has several rather unsettling yet unsurprising sub-plots and plot twists that are shallow and surreal.    You get a period piece, though the time isn’t really specified, the context appears that it’s the 1930’s, a mad scientist and mansion (instead of island) full of “manimals”, a ferocious sex kitten in heat (figuratively and literally), a hero(ish), his girlfriend, and her sister.  All in varying degrees of make-up and prosthetics.    There is a lot of creative use of color and lighting in this, some of it effective, some of it… a nice try.

Now I know that it sounds like I’m saying bad things, here, but not really.  But what do you expect from a Full Moon Feature from Charles Band? If you are a fan of Charles Band’s signature shenanigans, you should know what to expect, he is rather consistent with the B-Grade sexy schlock.  The actors in these know what they’re making and give it their all.  This is fair to middle for his works.
