Honestly I misread the title on the cover art as “Sausage Vows”, but decided to check it out anyway. Mark lost his wife in a car accident, so, after the funeral, his friends (and Mark Polonia) decide to stay with him for the weekend as support. Turns out, they may not be such good friends.
Tom Riley (Nigel Bach, who also wrote and directed the movie) purchases a house from a sheriff’s auction and as he begins to go through the belongings left behind to flip the house, he discovers why it was up for auction.
This sequel was released 8 years after the first Wyrmwood. Where the first was a horror comedy that introduced its audience to some memorable characters and a creative new twist on the zombie genre, this one dropped most, if not all, of the comedy. It, instead, focused on how the survivors and the zombies had adapted and evolved post apocalypse.
A group of archeologists break the seal of a cursed tomb of Egyptian Prince Talos, resulting in their deaths, but not before the expedition leader, Sir Richard Turkel, can seal the entrance to the tomb once more. Years later, his granddaughter, Samantha Turkel, following the journals by Sir Richard, leads her own team to the same tomb, this time releasing the curse again.
A virologist, Robert Neville, helped discover a cure for cancer with the side effect of killing most people treated, turning the rest into monsters, and only a 1% immunity. He survives alone in New York with his dog, trying to find a cure for the virus. Until he meets another survivor and makes a terrible discovery about the infected.
At a party at Jim and Linda’s house, Linda’s ex boyfriend, Brandon, who was once Jim’s best friend, brings a Ouija Board which they use to contact the spirit of a child named David. Linda is so intrigued by this, she begins using the board herself, and becomes enthralled by an evil spirit. Jim and Brandon must overcome their adversity to save Linda.
On what begins as a drudgingly ordinary day, a somewhat oblivious group of friends find that zombies have invaded their community. They try to find a safe place to stay as they battle the zombie horde and each other. Continue reading →
