After the death of a fellow priest, Father Loomis discovers something sinister in the basement of a church.  Father Loomis contacts a Physics professor, who agrees to take his class of graduate students and other experts to discover exactly what evil lies inside.

The second of John Carpenter’s Apocalypse trilogy.  The first being The Thing and the third, In the Mouth of Madness.  One of his creepiest films.  The music, Carpenter’s signature musical style with Alice Cooper’s unique talent, and the dream sequences always manage to give me chills each time I see the movie.

Featuring a strong cast of talented actors (including Donald Pleasance, Jameson Parker, Victor Wong, Lisa Blount and Dennis Dun), some of whom had roles specifically written for them.    Creative practical effects  and lighting with an eerie and evocative setting for anyone who has been taught to respect a religious sanctuary, maintain the ambiance of the film.

I gave this 4 cups of tea.
