Raph and his partner, Max,\u00a0 are paid by a defense lawyer to kill the bad guys she represents when they’re found not guilty.\u00a0 Talked into working a weekend for an overtime bonus, they need to run errands and pick up supplies for Raph’s son’s birthday party while trying to finish their job.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

A horror comedy full of quippy dialogue and a lot of action.\u00a0 The movie starts out a little slow, setting up the back story and introducing the characters, but picks up the pace nicely.\u00a0 Decent make up and minimal gore effects combined with good use of lighting made for less of a splatter fest than I was hoping.<\/p>\n

Featuring Al Snow, as Raph, forgetful dad and hitman, showing off his skills as an entertainer.\u00a0 He may not be a great actor, but he has comedic timing and tons of charisma.\u00a0 John Wells, as Max, sidekick of questionable intelligence, was amusing as all get out.\u00a0 These guys had some great chemistry going on.<\/p>\n

One detail that I though worked well in this film was during a couple scenes that started as a close-up shot in slow motion with loud music, then the camera angle would shift perspective.\u00a0 The scene was still going on in the background, but the music muffled and people went about their business as normal.\u00a0 The action scene\u00a0 took on a less intense, more humorous tone that emphasized how silly some things look without special effects .<\/p>\n

And then there was the YBox 720 commercial<\/a>. Do yourself a favor and watch it.\u00a0 It was pretty much the best part of the movie.<\/p>\n

I gave this 3 fru fru drinks because it did succeed in being entertaining.\u00a0 These guys knew what they were making and had some fun.
