{"id":379,"date":"2013-07-28T12:09:50","date_gmt":"2013-07-28T17:09:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/intheaudience.net\/?p=379"},"modified":"2013-08-25T10:58:21","modified_gmt":"2013-08-25T15:58:21","slug":"android-apocalypse-2006-tv-movie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/intheaudience.net\/?p=379","title":{"rendered":"Android Apocalypse (2006) &#8211; TV Movie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&#8220;Android Apocalypse&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information follow <a title=\"IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0470023\/?ref_=sr_1\" target=\"_blank\">this link<\/a>.\u00a0 Though, sadly, not much of information is available.<\/p>\n<p>In dystopian, post-apocalyptic Phoenix, humanity had developed robotics and androids to protect the remaining humans from &#8220;dangerous&#8221; jobs, especially in the wasteland surrounding the city itself.\u00a0 Animosity toward the androids, or Cogs,\u00a0 has developed due to their placement in positions of authority. \u00a0 Jute, a man convicted of murdering an android, &amp; DeeCee, an android developing human emotions, must form a strained alliance to stop a plot by the leader of the androids to destroy the human race.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This SyFy Original flick was a pleasant little surprise.\u00a0\u00a0 The two protagonists, DeeCee and Jute, played respectively by 80&#8217;s teen idol Joey Lawrence and Scott Bairstow, and antagonist, Varrta, played by Troy Skog, were well written, engaging, 3-dimentional characters who had convincing chemistry.\u00a0\u00a0 I must note pro-wrestler, front man for Fozzy, Chris Jericho&#8217;s bit part in this flick.\u00a0 The performance from the rest of the cast was stiff and unmemorable.<\/p>\n<p>The setting\/location was nice, though the CGI was flat.\u00a0 The writing and dialogue was what you&#8217;d expect from SyFy, which is to say formulaic, cheesy and in a\u00a0 couple places, downright inane.
