But the beings from beyond have affected Pretorius and Tillinghast must stop him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>So I chose to revisit this after seeing <a href=\"http:\/\/intheaudience.net\/?p=3276\">The Old Ones<\/a> at the Sawdust City Fright Fest this year. I wanted to refresh my memory of the Crawford Tillinghast story and, of course, it was so worth it.  Even with the dated special effects, this film still works really well.  Largely due to the magic made when Stuart Gordon, Brian Yuzna, Jeffrey Combs, and Barbara Crampton collaborate, especially on Lovecraft inspired stories.
