{"id":2686,"date":"2018-10-26T11:20:11","date_gmt":"2018-10-26T16:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/intheaudience.net\/?p=2686"},"modified":"2018-10-28T12:00:39","modified_gmt":"2018-10-28T17:00:39","slug":"sharktopus-vs-pteracuda-2014-tv-movie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/intheaudience.net\/?p=2686","title":{"rendered":"Sharktopus Vs Pteracuda (2014) &#8211; TV Movie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&#8220;Sharktopus Vs Pteracuda&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Movie #25: 31- Days of Horror Challenge 2018<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For more information follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt3743126\/?ref_=nv_sr_3\">this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In this sequel to Sharktopus, a water-park biologist, Lorena, has found and raised a juvenile after finding an egg sac which made its way back to the ocean when its mother had been destroyed in the original.\u00a0 When a genetic weapons development company, run by Dr. Symes, gets involved, after losing control of their solution to is the replace drone technology, the Pteracuda, Dr. Symes has the brilliant idea of pitting Sharktopus against Pteracuda and ultimately have control of both.\u00a0 This works out as expected.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So, here&#8217;s the deal.\u00a0 This is a Creature Feature.\u00a0 Creature Features are horror.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 2nd installment of the Sharktopus trilogy.\u00a0 As expected it is not an improvement, although it does further explore the &#8220;science&#8221; (such as it is) and motivation behind Sharktopus&#8217; voracious hunger.\u00a0 Robert Carradine is always worth watching, because he always appears to be having fun.<\/p>\n<p>There is very little in this film that makes sense in any way, but that&#8217;s not why a person watches these.\u00a0 You watch them for the same reasons we watch the actually GOOD monster flicks, such as Godzilla vs Gamera, to see giant monsters fighting.\u00a0 You watch even these less than spectacular, nearly cartoonish CGI, creature combat films with a big bucket of popcorn and a bottle of beer, hoping that the fight scenes are at least worth it, or you get a couple entertaining kill scenes, because you know that the rest of the movie will make you dizzy from rolling your eyes.\u00a0 And, yes, there are a couple scenes worthy of Coreman&#8217;s name being attached.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t, in all good conscience, recommend this film, even knowing that Matt Yamashita took from writing this film as a learning experience and applied it a few years later to the absolutely brilliant Death Race 2050,\u00a0 even with Robert Carradine, and even if the Conan O&#8217;Brien scene was directed by Roger Coreman himself.\u00a0 \u00a0I, however, will be watching the third film in the series, and happily.<\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom:20px; padding-top:10px;\" class=\"hupso-share-buttons\"><!-- Hupso Share Buttons - https:\/\/www.hupso.com\/share\/ --><a class=\"hupso_toolbar\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hupso.com\/share\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.hupso.com\/share\/buttons\/share-medium.png\" style=\"border:0px; padding-top: 5px; float:left;\" alt=\"Share Button\"\/><\/a><script type=\"text\/javascript\">var hupso_services_t=new Array(\"Twitter\",\"Facebook\",\"Google Plus\",\"StumbleUpon\",\"Email\");var hupso_background_t=\"#EAF4FF\";var hupso_border_t=\"#66CCFF\";var hupso_toolbar_size_t=\"medium\";var hupso_image_folder_url = \"\";var hupso_twitter_via=\"mojodawn\";var hupso_url_t=\"\";var hupso_title_t=\"Sharktopus%20Vs%20Pteracuda%20%282014%29%20-%20TV%20Movie\";<\/script><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/static.hupso.com\/share\/js\/share_toolbar.js\"><\/script><!-- Hupso Share Buttons --><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Sharktopus Vs Pteracuda&#8221; Movie #25: 31- Days of Horror Challenge 2018 For more information follow this link.
