Roger Mortis and Doug Bigelow are a pair of detectives trying to solve a string of peculiarly violent crimes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is simply fantastic!\u00a0 A solid mystery, full of crooked cops, zombies, and even mad scientists.\u00a0 A beautiful example of 80’s extravagance from director Mark Goldblatt, starring Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo, and with Robert Picardo, Darren McGavin, Vincent Price, and Mel Stewart.\u00a0 \u00a0This is\u00a0 a visual spectacle of\u00a0 monster effects, practical effects, a splash of “special” effects, and makeup.\u00a0 Although parts of this film are dated, overall the movie holds up very well.<\/p>\n

A fun twist on the “buddy cop” films that were so popular in the 80s, this\u00a0is a cheesy gore-fest, certain to please those who love outlandish horror comedies.<\/p>\n

Random observation\/question… was this film the first use of the term “zombieland”?\u00a0 There were so many pop culture references that I almost let this one slide by.<\/p>\n
