{"id":1872,"date":"2015-09-26T13:04:53","date_gmt":"2015-09-26T18:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/intheaudience.net\/?p=1872"},"modified":"2015-09-26T13:04:53","modified_gmt":"2015-09-26T18:04:53","slug":"3-headed-shark-attack-2015-made-for-tv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/intheaudience.net\/?p=1872","title":{"rendered":"3 Headed Shark Attack (2015) &#8211; Made for TV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>&#8220;3 Headed Shark Attack&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more information follow <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt4685096\/?ref_=nv_sr_1\" target=\"_blank\">this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The scientists at the underwater research station, Persephone, have been researching marine life at an oceanic &#8220;garbage patch.&#8221; \u00a0Specifically they&#8217;re studying mutations caused by the severe pollution. \u00a0Maggie has just arrived for her internship on the Persephone, when the research station is attacked by the most dangerous mutation they have yet encountered. \u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Asylum and Christopher Ray bring us the eco-conscious sequel to their memorable &#8220;2 Headed Shark Attack.&#8221; \u00a0This time, our mutant, magically size-changing shark is bigger, badder, harder to kill and has even more heads. \u00a0As it turns out, 3 Headed Shark \u00a0has one heck of a surprising, nigh mythological, defense!<\/p>\n<p>As always, if you have picked up a movie with a title like &#8220;3 Headed Shark Attack&#8221; \u00a0and made by The Asylum, you should already have an idea of what to expect: \u00a0silliness, action, fun, nudity, eye candy, a dramatic soundtrack, and, if you have been successful with suspending your disbelief, getting fully wrapped up in the nonsensical fantasy. \u00a0 The plot is very simple: survive the shark attack long enough to kill the shark or until help can arrive. \u00a0No character development needed, simply plop a bunch of scantily clad twenty-somethings into an unstable environment and follow action sequence after action sequence. \u00a0\u00a0Logic and physics need not apply.<\/p>\n<p>The cast wasn&#8217;t especially strong, with a few notable exceptions. \u00a0The best parts of the movie were the very few scenes with Danny Trejo, as Mike Burns, the well-prepared fisherman that the survivors of the Persephone attack radio for help. \u00a0Wonderfully blatant comedic exploitation of his signature character tropes in this film. \u00a0Rob Van Dam, as Stanley, did not disappoint either. \u00a0His vast experience in front of the audience is evident and even though he has a relatively small part, he made it his own. \u00a0I&#8217;m interested to see if he chooses to pursue more of an acting career. \u00a0 \u00a0Amusingly, his character is more heroic than the leading man. \u00a0Another smaller character, is the talented Jaason Simmons, as Dr. Ted Nelson. \u00a0Water-themed movie lovers will recognize him from Baywatch and Sharknado.<\/p>\n<p>I gave this 2 fru fru drinks. \u00a0I went in to this with a certain level of expectation and it certainly met that. \u00a0It&#8217;s audacity made for an entertaining experience \u00a0Do not, dear reader, mistake that for saying it was &#8220;good.&#8221; \u00a0If you are a fan of shlocky shark flicks or a fan of The Asylum, then grab a drink (or 3) and \u00a0it may be worth the almost 90 minutes of your time. \u00a0If you&#8217;re expecting more, don&#8217;t bother.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.intheaudience.net\/\/clipart\/frufrudrink.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"41\" height=\"75\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.intheaudience.net\/\/clipart\/frufrudrink.JPG\" alt=\"\" width=\"41\" height=\"75\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"padding-bottom:20px; padding-top:10px;\" class=\"hupso-share-buttons\"><!-- Hupso Share Buttons - https:\/\/www.hupso.com\/share\/ --><a class=\"hupso_toolbar\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hupso.com\/share\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.hupso.com\/share\/buttons\/share-medium.png\" style=\"border:0px; padding-top: 5px; float:left;\" alt=\"Share Button\"\/><\/a><script type=\"text\/javascript\">var hupso_services_t=new Array(\"Twitter\",\"Facebook\",\"Google Plus\",\"StumbleUpon\",\"Email\");var hupso_background_t=\"#EAF4FF\";var hupso_border_t=\"#66CCFF\";var hupso_toolbar_size_t=\"medium\";var hupso_image_folder_url = \"\";var hupso_twitter_via=\"mojodawn\";var hupso_url_t=\"\";var hupso_title_t=\"3%20Headed%20Shark%20Attack%20%282015%29%20-%20Made%20for%20TV\";<\/script><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"http:\/\/static.hupso.com\/share\/js\/share_toolbar.js\"><\/script><!-- Hupso Share Buttons --><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;3 Headed Shark Attack&#8221; For more information follow this link.
