The Grizwold family invites us to join in their Christmas celebration for their first “stay-cation”. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Celebrating it’s 25 year anniversary, this John Hughes film is truly a modern classic. \u00a0 Everyone can relate to this movie, from the idealistic, overzealous antics of Chevy Chase, as Clark Griswold, wacky, but endearing, family man extraordinaire, \u00a0to the eccentric extended family, especially Randy Quaide as big hearted, oblivious, cousin Eddie, to the trials of planning a family event. \u00a0Filled with clever, witty dialogue, great chemistry among the cast, and Chase’s signature style of physical comedy antics, this movie is extremely quotable and wonderfully memorable.<\/p>\n

The cast is filled with a wealth of talent. \u00a0Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo returning as Clark and Ellen Grizwold, \u00a0Juliette Lewis as Audrey Grizwold, Johnny Galecki, as Rusty Grizwold. \u00a0John Randolph and Diane Ladd, as the Senior Griswolds, Clark’s parents. \u00a0 E.G. Marshall and Doris Roberts as Ellen’s parents. \u00a0Randy Quaide and Miriam Flynn return as cousins Eddie and Catherine. \u00a0William Hickey joins in the celebration as Uncle Lewis and Mae Questal, who started her career as the voice of Betty Boop, is Aunt Bethany. \u00a0Nicholas Guest and Julia Louise-Dreyfus as Todd and Margo, the yuppie neighbors.<\/p>\n

I gave this film 5 cups of rummy eggnog, for being a timeless, still relevant after 25 years, modern tradition it has become. \u00a0If you have never seen this movie, I don’t know how you managed to miss it, but luckily, they’re running “Christmas Vacation” for it’s 25th-year-anniversary on the big screen. \u00a0Go watch it. \u00a0Right now. \u00a0And Play Ball!<\/p>\n
